A pair of nickel-plated tubular metal frame stools with woven rattan seats designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Lilly Reich, manufactured by either Berliner Metallgewerbe Josef Müller or Bamberg Metallwerkstatten around 1927. This design appears in the 1931 catalogue of furniture created by Mies and Lilly Reich. Lilly Reich played an influential role in Mies’s life but his fame as often overshadowed her many contributions as his female partner. The seats of these stools have been restored.
