A small, low rimmed bowl in a bisque (unglazed finish) by California Faience circa 1930. California Faience was a pottery studio based in Berkeley, California in operation from 1915-1959, founded by Chauncey Thomas and Will Bragdon. Notably, California Faience was the studio selected by architect Julia Morgan to produce the tiles and architectural elements for Hearst Castle between 1919 and 1947. Signed at underside.
